The Samsung Galaxy S8 was a flagship smartphone released in 2017 with a 5.8-inch Infinity Display, glass panels on the front and back, and a metal frame. It had a 64GB internal storage capacity, 4GB of RAM, and expandable storage via a microSD card. The device featured a 12-megapixel rear camera, and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, and was powered by either a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 or an Exynos 8895 octa-core processor. It had Samsung's TouchWiz user interface and ran on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. The phone had additional features such as a fingerprint scanner, iris scanning, water and dust resistance, wireless charging support, and a non-removable 3,000mAh battery.
